Preliminary Audition

 

 

The Iba-Tenorio Competition is open to

young piano players in two age divisions: 13 and under, and 14–18.

With Concerto Division ages:  13 and under, and 14–18

​

Participants perform for a panel of judges, with winners selected based on

skill, musicality, and potential.

​

 Submissions are due by midnight on September 18. Late submissions will be accepted through midnight on September 25 for an additional fee.

​

The 2026 finals competition will take place on October 4th Piano Division

Winners recital held the evening of October 4th, 6:00p.m.

Concerto Winners Concert will take place March 2027, date TBD

Please submit a video recording of one solo piece performed from memory. The video may be provided as a YouTube link, .mp4 file, or uploaded file, and must be recorded in a single, unedited take.

Finalists will be notified by September 28, 2026.


Concerto Competition Video Round: An accompanist is not required for the audition piece.

-I understand that the Final Round will be live and held at Salit Conservatory of Music in Burbank, CA.

-I understand the performance time limits set for my division as outlined in the competition guidelines.

-I understand that I am responsible to provide original scores to the judges. No photocopies will be accepted and will result in disqualification.

-I understand Notes will provided for the finals competition only.


NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

  • I understand that the Final Round will be held live on Oct 4, 2026 at Salit Conservatory of Music 1001 W Riverside in Burbank, California.

  • I understand and agree to comply with the performance time limit for my division, as outlined in the competition guidelines.

  • I understand that I am responsible for providing original scores for the judges. Photocopies are not permitted and may result in disqualification.

  • I understand that judge comments/notes will be provided for the Final Round only.

Failure to do so will result in disqualification. 



Acceptance of Competition Rules.


-I have read, understood, and agree to abide by all rules and guidelines of the Salit Foundation Iba-Tenorio Scholarship Competition as listed on their website.

-I agree that the decisions of the judges are final and that any contact with judges regarding the competition will result in disqualification.

-I agree to the arbitration terms in the event of a dispute.

-By applying, you agree that your photo or video may be used for marketing purposes on social media without compensation.
